Before starting the operational Merger.
The time needed for a Merger or Acquisition to be fruitful and fully functional depends on the focus spent on harmonizing, in the beginning, the initially different Organizational cultures.
How does it work?
This process doesn’t necessarily need a lot of time and effort, but it needs to be done in a focused way, fully understanding the starting point of the two organizations, the goal of the new organization, and how to focus on the right things in both so that the integration is done in an energized and efficient manner.
Most of the managers have good intentions but sometimes these intentions are achieved with opposite behaviors that seem from the other side as being bad intentions. Our role is to harmonize the two (or more) organizations’ ways of working and adjust the behaviors that might turn out to be threatening to the other side.
All of these are achieved by using assessment instruments, workshops, qualitative interviews, monthly or quarterly reviews, and leadership evaluation tools and advising, with the minimum needed resources from the client’s side.
Pricing, Time, and Effort:
The Price depends on the complexity of the organizations and their starting points before the merger. It is not connected to the hours spent by the consultant for the project.
As for the Timeline, it is needed approximately one month for the awareness and clarity phase and about 6 to 12 months for the two organizations to feel like one, independent of us, and our external support.
